Mission

The Nest acts as a communal digital sanctuary for black creators —artists, designers, filmmakers, writers, and performers— to initiate exchange and collaboration. This platform is to be used as a tool, for incubation, curation, collaboration, discussion, and networking within the black creative community.

 

The Nest is a central hub, helping members find what they’re looking for, whether it’s an art collective, a specific collaborator, feedback on their work, or an artist to include in an exhibition. This is a space that will enhance user’s abilities to build their own artistic communities, navigate in a space free from the white gaze and the oppressive obstacles that come with it, and ultimately, let this transfer to real life spaces.

 

We welcome passionate black creators of any artistic background and seeking solidarity to make a space for themselves within this platform, free of pressure and constraints. The Nest stands for artistic liberation, self determination, and collaboration.
